Manchester & Lancashire FHS
Our volunteers will be available to help you with any questions you may have about joining us and/or the volunteering opportunities that are available. Find out about our upcoming society and branch meetings, and search for a name in our database of 3.6 millionrecords! We will also have our well-stocked book shop where you can browse a wide range of books including the Neil Richardson series, and a range of maps.

Archives+
Custodians of Greater Manchester Council's Archives, staff from Archives+ will display a selection from their collections. Archives+ are celebrating 10 years of partnership with the Manchester Central Library.

North West Film Archive
North West Film Archive have kindly put together a screening of some of their amazing static and moving images of Manchester and Lancashire in and around the 1960s. This film show (no audio) will run continrously throughout the day in the Performance Space at the Library.

Free Entry
Come and see us! Bring your friends, bring the children, see some of the archives, talk to members of other societies and organsiations - not just from Manchester - we welcome societies and organisations who have interests similar to ours. After all - where did your ancestors come from? For most people the answer is that people did move, did travel around, and Manchester Ancestors can be found all over the world. Join us and see if our knowledgeable members can help you, or just enjoy our in-person and online meetings. There is something at MLFHS for everyone.

MLFHS Helpdesk
Our MLFHS Family History Help Desk will be open from 11:00-2:00 !! We've got some of the top team in. So please stop by with your queries. Hope to see you there!

Anglo-Scottish FHS
Our Anglo-Scottish branch will be present to tell us about the sets of records that might help you with Scottish ancestors who migrated to Manchester - and many other places. A small collection of pre-loved Scottish-history-related books will also be available to first-comers to buy.

Bolton Family History Society
Our Bolton branch can tell you about their in-person meetings held at a local venue, and the valuable records that their members have been transcribing and making available to society members.

Oldham & District FHS
Our Oldham branch will be busy with their own meeting, in Oldham, on the day, but will be represented on the MLFHS stand. Plenty of time to visit their stand, and all the other stands, in the morning, and then catch a tram to the meeting in Oldham!

Belle Vue Circus Clown Artist, Pamela Armstrong
Pamela Armstrong brings the colour and comedy of the Belle Vue Circus Clowns to our Fair. Find out more about the history and the heritage. Pamela says: "My clowns are taking me out for the day, come and join us and share your circus and Belle Vue showground memories with me!" Pamel says that she is displaying her Belle Vue clown paintings at our Fair and she hopes to see us all there!

FHS of Cheshire
This is the opportunity to find out about our neighbours - the Family History Society of Cheshire, have a look at their beautiful quilt which commemorates servicemen lost in WW1, and find out how they can help you find relatives who have "crossed the border"
